Xavier Anguera, Ph.D. - Bio and CV

Short bio

X. Anguera obtained his MS in electrical engineering at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain,
in 2001, when he also graduated from an European Masters in Language and Speech.
In 2006 he obtained his PhD also from UPC University, on speech processing.
From 2001 to 2003 he worked for Panasonic Speech Technology Lab in Santa Barbara, CA.
From 2004 to 2006 he was a visiting researcher at the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in Berkeley, CA.
Since 2007 he is with Telefonica Research in Barcelona, pursuing research on multimedia analysis.
He has coauthored over 60 academic publications and is the author of several patents.
His current research interests include speech/speaker processing and multimedia analysis.
